The Calm After the Storm

Well, it seems wedding season is coming to a halt, for a while at least, as most of us are gearing up for our summer vacations and/or the Holy month of Ramadan.

As it is time for most people to slow down the tempo of their routines and daily activities, my kitchen is just warming up for Fall’s weddings & the exciting projects that are along on the way to your laptop screens.

For now, I would like to leave brides-to-be with some worthy notes to think about over the break . Here are some tips and tricks for those of you who want to make the most of this summer to feel their best for September, October and oh so sweet November!

1. Start eating your greens. Unless you are allergic to them, it is never too early to work on feeding your skin the nutrients to get the GLO you want on your big day. I’m talking spinach, broccoli, kale, seaweed, celery and green apples. Yes, I am aware an apple is a fruit.

2. Commit to an exercise routine and make sure you break a sweat. Try to make sure you variate the movements you do over a 30-40 minute period during each session. The sooner you start to feel confident in your own skin, the quicker your spirits will be uplifted when you think about your wedding.

3. If you are in the process of planning your wedding- as special as this time is for you, I know that it can be frustrating. Make sure you take a time out with your partner for at least five days every month where you do your best to avoid any wedding talk.

I hope these pointers helped. As for the gentlemen who are getting ready to say their I Do’s, I also know you have a lot on your mind. Luckily for you, it is probably easier to unwind than it is for us women. My advice would be, apply that moment of calm to your time out with your partner.

In short, this is the time for us all to simple de-stress.

Enjoy the summer x

Yours truly,
Mennat
